Some people have a big prejudice against dupes (fake designer) and I understand! For the girl on a serious budget, dupes are a great alternative so we, too, can have serious glam in our lives.
Everywhere you scroll on Instagram there’s an influencer carrying a LV Neverfull GM or MM (large or medium-sized LV tote). My want for this look-alike bag began the beginning of this year and I seriously thought of starting a savings account just for designer items! 😛
If anything, I am a much more modest spender than a saver (jury’s still out on that one, tho!) and I couldn’t see myself dropping up to $2,000 on a bag! An influencer I follow on IG shared a cosmetic bag that’s the exact pattern of my bag and she let the secret out that she, too, actually owns the bag dupe! Apparently she doesn’t travel with her real LV Neverfull (smart!) and even owns lots of dupes for her designer items just for travel. #firstworldsolutions
Anyway! This bag was on sale for (tax + shipping included) $37! Normally, it retails for $49. GIRL YOU KNOW ME I texted my husband that morning and said I needed this bag! He’s amazing and said yes and this week on Wednesday I got it in my hands! The awful part about the whole things is waiting nearly 4 weeks for it to arrive!
Love
The size! I thought I ordered the GM (large) but honestly, I’m happy I didn’t! The proportions are much more appropriate for my frame and I probably would have felt overwhelmed if I had the large.
The quality! This really is great quality. The outside is vegan leather but it feels thick and sturdy. The Amazon images conveyed the bag without the “LOUIS VUITTON PARIS” logo on the outside, but it arrived with it on! I was pleasantly surprised. 🙂
The look! I really feel proud to carry this bag. I dress better, fix a nail if the polish is cracked, and mostly do my skin care routine everyday. (Except tonight, I’m tired!) All this to say, it makes me WANT TO step up the pride in my self-care and appearance. Who woulda thought!!
Loathe
The packaging! I was really disappointed how this arrived–flat, in a bubble package. 😦
The wrinkles! As a result of the way it was packaged. You can see in the stand alone photos the straps are bent and don’t stay up.
The inside lining! I know I shouldn’t be complaining about this since IT IS A DUPE. The real LV Neverfull inner lining in this white-gray checkered color is pink.
Final thoughts
Overall, if you’re looking to break into the designer bag trend without breaking the bank, I highly recommend! The quality for the price is fabulous, I’m so happy with this purchase!
